Autumn Quarter Reflection:
Honors 100: This was my initial quarter at UW, and later was the class I ended up teaching. This reflection served as a point of reference when I was later trying to understand my students perspectives.
Peer Educator Reflection:
End of Spring 23'
This was my initial quarter working as an Honors Peer Educator. Here, I expanded my leadership skills and learned about my responsibilities as an educator. A large part of this experience was goal setting and reflection. Within the attached reflection I reexamine my progress on my goals, and how I have felt about my experiences thus far.

The progress of my reflections can be seen below!
1. Post Retreat Reflection, early Spring
2. Spring Reflection, end of Spring
3. Final PE Reflection, end of Fall (my favorite)

Reflecting on the Experience
As I reflect on the sum of my time as a PE, I am extraordinarily grateful for the opportunity and have felt so much tangible growth in tangible skills, self confidence and community. I have found a passion for education and leadership, and plan on continuing pursuing opportunities that will continue to push me.

Many of the lovely PE's!

Searching for Other Opportunities (WI24)
Reflecting on the Peer Educator Program, I started seeking out similar opportunities to engage with as my time as an undergrad. I knew I wanted to continue to pursue mentorship positions as well as exploring opportunities more closely aligned to my career goals. During Winter 2024, I applied and interviewed for the Student Legal Services Intern Position, the UAA Peer Advisor Position, the City of Seattle Office for Civil Rights Intern Position and a research fellow position with the Action Mapping Project. With this, I also applied for 3 study abroad opportunities.

So far, I have been accepted and am beginning work as a Peer Advisor with UAA, and a Research Fellow for the Action Mapping Project. I was also accepted into all three study abroad programs and will be studying Dutch Designs: Innovation in Library, Museum and Information Services in the Netherlands. I am incredibly excited to begin working with both groups on their respective projects, as well as to interview for the SOCR Internship position.

Working as
an UAA
Peer Adviser
(Spr 24)
As I have begun my work as a UAA Peer Adviser, I am looking forward to the opportunity to work individually with students and grow in my communication and roles within this institution.

This quarter, I completed the initial training, as well as my shadowing hours, and am eager to begin to apply many of the tools I learned as a peer educator and employ it in my role as a Peer Advisor.

Moreover, I have also begun in this position, with two of the Peer Educators I worked with in past quarters, and I am excited to expand this connection with them as well as connect with the other peer advisors.
(Spring '24)
Research Fellow: Action Mapping Project
Along with my role as a UAA Peer Advisor, in Spring Quarter 2024, I have also begun a new position as a Research Fellow with the Action Mapping Project, a organization based in Tacoma that works to collect GIS data around youth experiences in communities and inform policy. This opportunity intersects with my interest in both Sociology and Informatics, and allows me to explore intersections of both fields.

After my initial shadowing sessions at Lincoln High School, I have a clearer understanding of my role within this project, and also am gaining involvement in the data processing and coding aspects of the project.
As I reflect on my engagement this quarter, I am thrilled to continue to help further the goals of this project, and further develop my skills in both Informatics, Sociology, and public policy.
